Art and quotes

Hello, I hope you like this page. These are some famous literary quotes, but also my own thoughts that I would like to express.
I will write something new once or twice a month. I would be very happy about your visit.

Literary quote from the month

"Yellow is the hue of sunflower fields, of the warmth that embraces the earth, of the leaves that turn to gold in autumn. It represents energy, optimism and the vitality of the natural world.

On canvas, yellow can be an explosion of light or a soft whisper of warmth, evoking the innate connection between humans and nature. Each yellow stroke is a reminder that the beauty of the environment lives in us, like an echo of its eternal inspiration."

"Yellow is the sun escaping from the canvas, an explosion of light that fills every corner of the work with energy."

"Yellow in my work is not just a colour, but a narrative tool: it brings the work to life, fills it with dynamism, or can even offer a pause in the middle of a composition loaded with other tones.

The combination of its visual strength and symbolic charge makes it an ideal colour for conveying complex feelings, creating focal points of interest or simply exploring the relationship between light, space and colour.

In the end, yellow is not just a colour: it's a way of capturing the world from an optimistic, energetic and deeply human perspective."

"Painting is seeing the world through a unique lens, where each stroke becomes a story told through images."

Personal thought

The lack of support for emerging artists from galleries and institutions is a structural issue within the art world.

Many galleries prefer to work with well-known names, as they guarantee sales. Likewise, institutions often focus on artists with established careers in order to justify their investments.

This leaves emerging artists in a kind of limbo, financing their own work, seeking visibility through social media, and relying on alternative events or independent spaces to gain exposure.

Yet, with the rise of digital tools and the decentralization of the art market, artists now have more opportunities to present and sell their work without being entirely dependent on traditional channels.

Online platforms, social media, and more inclusive art fairs have opened new doors. While the road remains difficult, the autonomy these tools provide can make it possible to build a career without waiting for validation from a gallery or institution.

Still, translating this into reality is far from simple, and often financially out of reach for many artists.

Of course, recognition from a gallery or institution remains a dream for most. But emerging talent deserves greater visibility, more support, and to be valued on equal footing with established artists.

After all, wasn’t every celebrated artist once an emerging one?
